Muharram 2024 Holiday. Muharram 1, which is the first day of the hijri year, will fall on sunday, july 7. The ministry of human resources and emiratisation announced that sunday, 7th july, 2024 (1st muharram), will be an official paid holiday for private sector companies in the uae on the occasion of the new hijri year 1446 ah.
Muharram is believed to be the second holiest month after ramadan. To clarify, the bombay stock exchange (bse) and the national stock exchange (nse) have published a comprehensive list of trading holidays for the year 2024.
